Children’s Faith Formation is a lifelong process and through Faith Formation classes we provide formal catechesis from Pre-K through 8th grade.  Guidelines for this formation are developed under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Through this formation, the parish can work in partnership with parents to assist with the development of your children's Catholic faith, prayer life, sacraments, and tradition.

Sunday, Children’s Faith Formation follows the school calendar year beginning in September and ending in May.

Advent & Lenten Retreats are family-based retreats that enriches and strengthens families with resources to fully celebrate the liturgical seasons of our Catholic Church. These retreats are open to all.

The Sacrament of Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic faith community.  Your desire to have your child baptized is a promise to actively share your faith with them through your own word and example.

If this is your first child or you have not had a preparation class for the sacrament, you will need to contact Theresa Brydon  tbrydon@archindy.org .  This class is for both parents to understand the sacrament and preview the ritual of baptism.

To set a date for a Baptism please call the Parish Office at 317-926-7359. Baptisms are primarily held on the first and third weekends of the month after the Saturday, 5:30 p.m. Mass or Sunday, 11:00 a.m. Mass

The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation, along with Baptism and the Eucharist. This means that through Confirmation we celebrate a person’s new life in Christ and their membership in the Body of Christ, the Catholic Church. Not only is a person’s bond with the Church strengthened, but Confirmation Confirmandi also receives an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Confirmandi experience a growth in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence, and wonder and awe.

At St. Michael, anyone who is in the 9th grade or older can prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. For 9th- 12th graders, Confirmation preparation is done yearly through the Faith Formation program. Please visit the Faith Formation section for more details on how to receive Confirmation.
